DZIF Pathogen Repository
Description
The DZIF Pathogen Repository provides quality-tested bacterial strains for scientific research. One focus is on multi-resistant bacteria that are listed as priority pathogens by the World Health Organisation (WHO). This list comprises 15 bacterial families that pose a particular threat to human health and serves as a basis for specifically promoting research and development of new antibiotics. Against this background, the collection of resistant reference strains has been significantly expanded and made available for research projects. The panel of strains (see link) is continuously supplemented across all priority groups, thus providing a reliable basis for scientific work and innovation.
