MONID - Modeling Network for Severe Infectious Diseases

The Modeling Network for Severe Infectious Diseases, founded in 2022 and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), consists of ten research consortia and a central coordination office. It promotes collaboration among leading scientists, supports early-career researchers, and strengthens modeling expertise in Germany. In addition, it serves as a direct point of contact for policymakers, particularly during pandemic situations.
