European Vaccine Hub (EVH)

Description
The European Vaccine Hub (EVH) is a project initiated by HERA as part of the EU4Health programme. HERA stands for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority and is the authority of the European Commission responsible for preparedness and response in the health sector. The EVH aims to strengthen Europe's capacity in vaccine development and improve the ability to respond to future disease outbreaks at EU level: ‘Pandemic preparedness’. The EVH will create a pan-European centre for the rapid development of vaccines and human monoclonal antibodies. It involves a consortium of leading EU organisations that are directly involved in vaccine development and are responsible for pandemic preparedness: Biotecnopolo / Sclavo Foundation (Siena), Institut Pasteur (Paris), Vaccinopolis (Antwerp) as well as the DZIF and ZEPAI (based at the Paul Ehrlich Institute, founded in 2022 in the context of COVID-19). Project start: 01 March 2025, project duration: 48 months, project management: Sclavo
