EHDS (European Health Data Space) regulation

Description
The EU Regulation on the European Health Data Space (EHDS), which came into force on 26 March 2025, creates the framework for secure access to and use of health data in the EU – for both primary and secondary use. The new regulations mean that patients across the EU will have uniform and free access to their digital health data, that this data can be exchanged efficiently between institutions in interoperable formats, that data subjects will have more control and correction rights, and that certain data may also be used for research and policy purposes under certain conditions.
